Originally a private retreat built on a historic mining claim, this new addition to Tellurideβs award-winning restaurants is a quaint European hΓΌtte perched near the top of Gold Hill.With hand-hewn beams and furniture crafted from reclaimed wine barrels, Alpino Vino provides a high alpine ambience and is reminiscent of restaurants found throughout the Dolomites of Northern Italy. Inside, a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace, stone floors and exposed wood beams, provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.Situated at 11,966β, Alpino Vino offers fantastic views of the Wilson Range. The expansive multi-tiered deck is a truly unique spot to enjoy a glass of wine with its European teak furniture, coveted daybed and comfortable sheepskin throws. If you make it to the slopes of telluride, this is a place you have to check out. Get here before 11:15 to avoid crowds. Super cool building that used to be a private residence, that the resort has turned into the highest elevation restaurant in the US. Staff is awesome, food is better.

You stop here for the view and the ambience and the bragging rights to eat at the highest restaurant in North America. The menu was extremely limited but the food was OK and of course on the pricey side as you would expect

Great dining experience! It is located on top of the mountain so it is ski-in ski-out. The terrace is heated and the views are stunning. The wine list is excellent. You can order a drink while you wait for a table. Try the Signature Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, trust me!

My wife and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary and decided to do something special. Alpino Vino is a most interesting places to eat and at almost 12,000 ft, the remarkable views were eclipsed by the professionals who served our food and the chefs who prepared this wonderful celebratory meal on special day! This experience is one of the highlights that we will cherish and remember for years to come. My wife and I highly recommend Alpino Vino which will provide a memorable meal that is unequaled.
